Steering Legal has added a new partner to its team, Maud Lambert, who joins the firm with her team to provide expertise in digital law, intellectual property and data protection.
With the arrival of this expert with over 15 years’ experience, and recognised for her mastery of the practices, issues and problems of the digital sector, the firm is strengthening its range of services in this area.
Maud Lambert joins Steering Legal, accompanied by three associates, Elodie Hoël, Antoinette Chadenet and Ibrahim Sy-Savané.
The IP/IT/Data team has assisted service companies, large national and international groups, as well as SMEs and start-ups, in structuring strategic projects with a strong technological component, including AI. She is involved from the negotiation of IT contracts through to the implementation phase, as well as carrying out legal feasibility studies.
Maud and her team provide advice on personal data management compliance to DPOs as part of company acquisitions, risk analyses for digital projects, RGPD compliance audits, and in the event of investigations initiated by the CNIL or other supervisory authorities.
The IP/IT/Data team also assists them in intellectual property matters, in particular in protecting and defending their trademarks and copyrights, and in structuring agreements for the joint development of digital solutions between several stakeholders.
Maud’s ability to understand her clients’ constraints and issues also makes her an effective and much-appreciated expert in litigation, particularly in relation to IT projects in difficulty, copyright defence and e-reputation infringement.
Maud’s practice and experience have led her to develop a global and innovative vision, particularly in e-health, a field in which she has become an experienced and sought-after lawyer.
The arrival of the IP/IT/Data team will consolidate the many synergies within the firm between intellectual property, information technology and data protection.
Joining Steering Legal was an obvious choice for Maud: ‘ It’s a fantastic opportunity to accelerate the development of our expertise within a dynamic structure with an international dimension, with offices in the United Arab Emirates, Africa and Brazil – offices with which synergies and knowledge sharing already exist, particularly on digital issues, which represents added value for us and our clients.
I’ve discovered a friendly team whose entrepreneurial approach, energy and desire to make the most of the firm’s skills for the benefit of its clients convinced me to join the project.
Nuno de Ayala Boaventura, whom I have had the good fortune to meet in the past, has shown that it is possible to combine technical skills, sector knowledge, a business project and real human qualities. So I’m very enthusiastic about the idea of joining this great project and devoting all my energy to it ’.
Nuno de Ayala Boaventura, Managing Partner of Steering Legal: ‘ It’s very gratifying to see that our project can attract a fine personality like Maud. Since the firm was founded almost 10 years ago, we have endeavoured to bring together partners who share our entrepreneurial vision and who are attracted by the quality and friendliness of the working environment we are keen to create. Maud’s arrival will enable us to reinforce both this mindset and our positioning in the digital economy sector. The IP/IT/Data team is a major asset in supporting our clients in their digital strategy, alongside our corporate, M&A, tax and wealth management, employment and litigation teams .
In addition to the wonderful human experience that this new partnership represents, having already had the opportunity to work with Maud on a number of cases, her dynamism, profile and experience are great assets both for Steering Legal in Paris and for meeting the needs of our network’s international clients in France ‘.
