Alexis Rutman is Counsel at Steering Legal in Paris.
Specialized in sports law, he is primarily involved in the negotiation and review of employment contracts and transfer agreements for professional football players in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He also advises high-level athletes — particularly in football, athletics, and judo — on the negotiation of their sponsorship agreements.
He is regularly involved in sports-related litigation, both before national sports bodies and civil courts, as well as before the CNOSF, FIFA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and the Swiss Federal Tribunal.
He provides legal assistance to sports agents and intermediaries in the football industry, as well as to professional football clubs in France and the Middle East. His expertise also includes comprehensive legal support for high-level athletes, covering both contractual matters and everyday legal issues.
Finally, he offers a “family office”-type service for many athletes, including connecting them with and overseeing relationships with a range of professionals such as bankers, insurers, accountants, and wealth management advisors.
