David Lussigny joins the firm with his team

Steering Legal, who will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025, is continuing to grow and is ramping up its Corporate-M&A department with the arrival of a new partner, David Lussigny, and his team.

This dynamic development of Steering Legal is perfectly in line with the firm’s objectives. The M&A-PE-Corporate team now includes 7 partners, 5 counsels and almost a dozen associates.

David Lussigny will strengthen the firm’s M&A, private equity and corporate finance practice.

David works in particular with national and cross-border companies, SMEs and major groups, as well as with company directors and investment funds in private equity transactions. While his core business is naturally corporate – M&A, David advises his clients on all issues relating to corporate law and obtaining financing, and represents them in strategic litigation, mainly in corporate law matters before all jurisdictions (including business criminal law).

He also assists clients with corporate and debt restructuring (generally as part of out-of-court procedures), particularly in the various business sectors for which the Steering Legal network boasts in-depth sectoral knowledge and experience.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2000, and prior to joining Steering Legal, he worked for almost 12 years in the corporate teams of leading law firms in Paris (Willkie Farr & Gallagher, Clifford Chance and de Gaulle Fleurance & Associés). He has been a partner at NH Law (formerly Nabarro & Hinge) since 2011.

David Lussigny has been teaching business law to ESSEC students since 2012.

David sees his decision to join Steering Legal as a natural progression in his professional career: “I was attracted by the opportunity to join the dynamic, entrepreneurial project led by Steering Legal, based on a pragmatic business model supported by an ambitious international network, which seems to me to correspond to what our clients expect today. Above all, I chose Steering Legal for the professional and human quality of its teams, made up of lawyers with complementary skills, as the sharing of experience by diverse personalities is indisputably the powerful driving force behind the firm’s development.”

For Nuno de Ayala Boaventura, Managing Partner, “As we close out 2024 with a good balance sheet and a bright outlook, David’s arrival once again illustrates our strategy of controlled growth, closely aligned with our customers’ needs and our sector expertise. It’s a real recognition for our project to be able to attract, in a purely membership-based approach, profiles of the calibre of David’s, whose professional solidity, competence and human qualities could not fail to appeal to us”.

David Lussigny joins Steering Legal with his associate Alexa Ivanov, a corporate and finance lawyer specializing in advisory and litigation work. She holds a Master’s degree in economic law from Sciences Po Paris. With dual nationality and fluency in 6 languages, she has particular expertise in cross-border projects.
