This transaction represents a structuring step in the consolidation of the youth accommodation sector, bringing together complementary players active in the student housing, mobility and tourism segments.

By combining these areas of expertise and operational footprints, FAC HABITAT and the Smerra group are contributing to the creation of the first integrated French youth accommodation network, covering needs related to studies, mobility and tourist stays.

In a demanding context — notably due to the transaction timetable, the multiplicity of entities involved and the specificities of the judicial framework — the Steering Legal teams advised FAC HABITAT on the legal aspects of the acquisition.
